ANSWER: No, you do not need any licensing for any of my charters, fishing or scalloping.
ANSWER: Yes I supply mask, snorkel, and fins and bags for scalloping.
For Fishing all poles, and bait are supplied.
If you wish to bring your own gear and poles, you are welcome to do so. Bringing your own Snorkel gear will help you to get the most time in the water, vs the gear not fitting you perfect.
ANSWER: Recently reported by Crystal River; While Florida's scalloping grounds hold sharks, you shouldn't worry about them since most are migratory and don't hang around long. With a high volume of boats and people in the water, sharks are usually discouraged from coming too close to the seagrass beds
ANSWER: When booking please discuss this so we can get a good idea of what you are looking to do and see on your adventure. Our adventures are flexible, if you want to stop at Sandy Hook (local swimming area) on the way in, you have to let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
ANSWER: The area I love to call home has some of the best locations for manatee viewing, when they are here. Not only can we go to see the manatees we can swim with them too. These are adventures I offer, you can find pricing on my home page.
ANSWER: Yes I will keep fish, and scallops, in the cooler or under water until we get back to land where you can clean them and take them home. I don't clean scallops, but I will show you how or can direct you to someone who can.
ANSWER: We always appreciate the opportunity to host guests on an adventure and tipping your captain is common practice in Florida waters.
ANSWER: Yes, all tours are required to leave a $50 deposit on CC, to hold that specific date and time for your tour. My policy is lenient as long as your looking to rebook or truly stuck in a bind. I just ask that you communicate respectfully with me. I prefer to communicate via text as its easier to refer back to, if need be and offers to be more flexible if I am on the boat. We always try to rebook, unless our schedule doesn't allow, at that time I will refund the deposit. The deposit is subtracted from your balance the day of the trip.
Answer: When fishing I always try to assist clients with baiting, and the gear, but will more than likely throw a pole in, especially if the fish are biting.
Scalloping adventures are much more hands on, and I always like to get in the water and assist clients at finding the scallops.
Manatee adventures are the same as scalloping, I get in with you to make sure we are all staying a safe distance from the manatees in order to not disturb their natural habitats.
